The Folders/Subfolders shared by the admin can be accessed by going to the Application tab of a workspace. The Application tab lists all the shared and created applications. Click on Dropbox application to access what's been shared but the files are accessible depending on what access been given to domain members by the admin. Different access allows and disallows user to perform certain actions. The points mentioned below gives a detailed information on what actions can be performed with the provided access.


A ) In case only View access is given :

 

1. The shared folders/ subfolders will be viewable.

2. Files can be downloaded.

3. Files cannot be uploaded.

4. New folders/subfolders cannot be created.

 

B ) In case only Create access is given :


1. The shared folders/ subfolders will be viewable.

2. Files can be downloaded.

3. Files can be uploaded (less than 25 MB). Upto 10 files can be attached at once.

4. New  folders can be created.

When complete access (View and Create) is given, the user will be able to perform all the possible actions as in the case of create access that is creating folder and uploading files. Alone create access cannot be given, it should always be create and view together or just view access. While files can be downloaded only in the format that they currently exists in, they cannot be downloaded in any other format.
