Application in Fusionmint can also be created by excel import. Excel can be imported from Desktop, Google Drive or Dropbox to create an application in workspace. The supported formats are .xlsx, .xls and .csv. Below is how you can import excel from different sources to create an application:


Excel Import from Desktop:


1. Go to the workspace and select "New" drop down.

2. Select "Create from file" to import the excel from desktop.

3. Click on "Upload" of the opened popup.

4. Browse file from desktop and click on "Import".



5. Type in application name and description. (By default the name of the file is same as the file name in desktop).

6. The first row of the excel will be listed as the column labels. Select the data type of the fields properly as if correct data type is not selected, the value of that column will not be imported properly specially in case of date.

7. Name of the column label can be kept same or can be changed if required by typing in the desired name in the name column.

8. Click on "Create Application".



9. Wait for the application to get imported and the status of import can be seen under Excel Import tab of workspace. After import the application will get created automatically in the workspace (as in the image below).



Excel/CSV Import from Google Drive:


1. Go to the workspace and select "New" drop down.

2. Select "Create from Google Drive" to import the excel from Google Drive.

3. Select Google Account from the drop down and if your account is not listed click on "Add Account". For more information on how to add an account click here.

4. Selected account's files and folders will get listed. Choose the file you want to import and click on "Select File" button.



5. Steps 5, 6 ,7 ,8 and 9 is same as above.
